Logic Pro Cycle activated but song still starts from beginning

I have the yellow cycle button activated at the bridge but every time i start the track instead of looping there it goes back to the start -why?

This stuff drives me crazy. Things like this will just start to happen for no reason.

It seems random but it generally happens when you inadvertently make a very small marquee selection and logic is set to prioritise play from marquee higher than play from cycle. You can define which play behaviours logic adheres to but right at this second I can't remember where that menu setting is but look for it and you may find an answer to your frustrations.
