Logic Pro 8 DATA of a MIDI track also affecting another track!

There's something I just don't understand...

I'm using Omnisphere which is a multichannel plugin (MIDI Channel 1-8).
Therefore, I opened and recorded on 2 MIDI tracks that are hooked to Omnisphere's Audio Instrument track; One on MIDI channel 1 and the other on MIDI channel 2.

Now why is it that Control Changes (Expression (11) for example) and automation on one MIDI track affects the recorded music on the other MIDI track? My expression data for example affects both tracks!

The plugin's MIDI channel is set to "ALL" and each MIDI track is set respectively to 1 and 2.

Thanks for your help

As our Eli has posted in a parallel thread today - multichannel Audio Instruments respond to automation globally, not channel-specifically.

The best way to do it is to open a mono or stereo instance of the same plugin on its unique channel strip.

Or... I just found another trick!

Just automate the volumes of your multichannel plugin's own mixer (Omnisphere in my case), not on it's MIDI track, but the plugin's track itself!

Thanks
