Logic Pro digital sync/warbling noise

I've been having this intermittent, warbling noise that at first I thought was distortion but now I think it is some type of sync or processor overload. This is with running 1 drum instrument and 3 audio track on a Mac mini i5 2.5 quad core with 4 gb ram. One thing I have noticed is that Logic uses a huge amount of video ram. On this project I think that video ram is more of a load than the audio.

It is actually a dual core (confused by the 4 virtual cores idea). In that past ram never seemed to be a problem as long as I was at 4 gb. But I wonder, if the X version is using more ram than before. Also, it seems to run better on my Macbook Pro (2009, 8gb ram, Maverick, 9600Gt GPU, than the Mac mini which has the Intel integrated 4000 GPU and running OSX 10.8.

LPX is a 64 bit app, main feature of 64 bit is the ability to access more than 4GB RAM, I have 16 GB in my MBP.

Make sure your audio cables are not near power supplies and video monitors.
