Logic Pro 9 ES 2 - Poly, Mono and Unison

Just need some clarification on Poly, Mono and Unison. Read over the part in the manual a lot, and seen some tutorial videos, though there is just a tiny bit that I don't get.

With Poly you input the voices, which basically how many keys can be pressed at once. If you then click Unison, then the polyphony is halved, does that mean that there is in effect 2 voices for one key?

With the Mono, if you choose 32 voices, it sounds the same as using 1 voice. However when you press Unison, it sounds a lot bigger, does that mean there are basically the equivalent of 32 voices per key? Is that 32 Voices per Oscillator?

Say if I had 3 Oscillators on the go and 32 Voices/Mono/Unison, is that 96 voices all together playing on one key press?

Many Thanks
