Logic Studio apps EVB3/GPO Not Working in Mainstage 2.2.2

Hi LUG,

I have a couple of plugins that's aren't working in Mainstage 2.2.2. The first is the EVB3 plugin and the second one is Garritan Personal Orchestra which operates via AU through the Kontakt player (at least in Logic Pro).

i've checked both of these and they are working fine in Logic, but GPO doesn't work at all in MS and the EVB3 is just being totally weird in MS. I'll put it in a channel strip, assign the channel to a slider on my M Audio Oxygen 61 controller and it first it will only play in the bottom 2 octaves, then the mod wheel won't activate the Leslie and I have to change it from a multi instrument to a single preference down at the bottom to play.

What gives? I'm stumped after the last 24 hours or so.

Tim,

Some thoughts here.......

Garritan Personal Orchestra which operates via AU through the Kontakt player (at least in Logic Pro).

You must have an older version of GPO. Garritan dropped the KontaKt 2 player and went to the Aria player quite some time ago. The Kontakt player is now at version 4 or 5 (or higher?) I can't test your problem as my GPO (current version) only shows up in the Aria player (although I might be able to get it to show up in Kontakt). I'd encourage you to try the latest version of Kontakt's free player to see if it works.

Also - are you running Logic and MainStage in 32 or 64 bit? If you're running Logic in 32 and MainStage in 64, that could be your problem of GPO not showing up.

Are you talking assigning a MIDI channel to the slider or a channel strip? I'm guessing it's the latter... This will only affect volume - not performance range.

Did you set a performance range in MS? This is done in the Layer Edit tab in the Channel Strip Inspector.

There is an off/on button at bottom right of GUI. Make sure this is on and you have the Mod Wheel selected for Speed Control.

Lost me on this one - there is no Multi-instrument setting that I'm aware of. Perhaps you mean something else?

The EVB3 is expecting the right MIDI channel (1-3), if you keyboard sends a different one, it won't work. You can change that in the EVB3 plugin.
