Logic Pro Export tracks as midi, format 1

I’m trying to export tracks as midi, to format 1, not 0
On prefs/general/ project handling, I unchecked the save to format 0 choice
I shift /highlight tracks ( three for now ), hit export selection as midi file, save, then import to a work station kybd.
…….comes out all on one track.

Weird, Some older similar projects, saved from an earlier version LPX , work fine, ie, appear as multi tracks on the work station.
So,I’m assuming any setting on the work station is ok.
Am I missing a setting on the newer LPX, ver 10.4.6. ? Mac is OS 10.13.6

Update info, if anyone is reading this (hopefully).
I did the reset midi button. No change,

just now, I tried my process on old Mac , OS 10.10.5, with old LPX, 10.2.4
worked fine, ie, export to “selection as midi file”, and it works. Saved file plays on work station as separate tracks ,, format 1
My Delema: there’s some midi setting on LPX That I am missing, Or there’s a clutch in the software.
LPX has two export as midi choices: Selection as midi file, and: All MIDI tracks as midi file.
Tried both. Still,comes out as everything together on Trk 1. Frustrating.
I want to use my new LPX, on new comp.
Any ides welcome;

I'm not sure what has changed in the most recent versions of LPX.
As I don't have a workstation kb I can't test this out, but here, Export>All MIDI tracks as MIDI File does produce a format 1 file that opens in other DAW with all tracks and regions intact.

Keep that old Mac nearby!

CSeye……update on export/midi issue.
Solved…..I think. Turns out changing the track midi #’s in the inspector did not really register, ie, I had to go to event lists for each track and manually change the #’s . I even tried the Function/ Insert instrument MIDI settings as events, Which seems like it would insert a controller midi # setting at top of event list/, but not there, and still the event list showed different midi #’s from inspector setting. Weird.
This is/was true on my old LPX version as well as new.
Anyway, I got a process that works. Sun shining again, asteroid not hitting earth, music lives on.
