Logic Pro 9 EXS24 Instruments Not Found

I just migrated to a new MacBook Pro. Now when I open a project I get the following error message. Anyone know how to fix this?

I'm seeing it when I select the Ballad Electric Bass, Deep & Hard Bass, Fretless Solo Bass, Motown Bass, Picked Electric Bass, Punchy Muted Bass.

Do you get this error when opening a new session or a previous session you were working on?

Also if you just migrated, Logic's ESX may not be finding the folder that your ESX samples are in- do you have them on an external maybe?

Never tried it on a new session. Only on existing sessions.

I may have fixed it. Before migrating I did a back up of my old machine to an external hard drive using carbon copy cloner. Last night I simply moved Logic 9 to the trash, copied the version from the backup drive to the MacBook and restarted Logic. When I selected the bass it took a minute but eventually the instruments did load. Hopefully the problem is resolved.

EXS24 instrument files include info about the filepaths to the samples used.

If you have all your samples on a drive called "Macintosh HD" and then move to another machine with a drive called "MacBook HD" (for example), then the samples won't be found right away, or maybe not at all.

This problem occurs often when buying stuff from 3rd party sellers. The .exs files have to be re-linked to their samples.

The most efficient, fast and painless way to solve this problem is with Redmatica's app called EXSManager. It's worth getting:
http://www.redmatica.com/Redmatica/ExsManager.html

or in the AppStore:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/exsmanager/id403756687?mt=12

Without re-linking (rewriting all the filepaths), load times will be frustratingly slow.

and no...I don't work for them. ;)
