Logic Pro 9 Extracting a few bars? Simplest way?

I have a complete song finished now I'm getting the lyrics together.
What I'd like to do is take only one verse and one chorus out of the song into a wav or sound file
I don't want the entire song just 8 bars of verse and 8 bars of chorus. As this is all I need to work with the lyrics.
What is the easiest way to do this? I appreciate all comments. Thank you.

A couple of ways I can think of.

1) Mute all other regions on all tracks., ie before and after these two sections. Then bounce. (Bounce start and end positions are easily created by drawing a cycle region in the bar ruler.

2. Select all the regions in those two sections and drag them (copy) to a place a few bars later than tyhe end of the actual song. Then bounce that bit.

Either of the above need a bit more fettling if e.g. you have anacruses in preceding regions (that also have other notes). In that case you would need to split off just the anacruses.

I do this sort of thing a lot while producing production music as I am asked to create a full length version plus 60 sec, 30 sec, 20, 10sec sec versions etc. and have a method that deals with some of the more complex edits:

If you want the verse and chorus as a wav file:

In the arrange view drag from left to right just above the ruler area to select the area you want to convert into the audio file. It will be green, as a loop region.

Then go to your bounce function. The measures you selected as the loop area will default to the bounce parameters.

I hope this helps.
