Logic Pro 9 Free Logic Pro Step Sequencer Environment

Hi All,

Here's a FREE Step Sequencer built entirely in Logic's Environment I've created which I'd like to share with all Logic users!

I designed it to help me create some randomized textural & rhythmic patterns... and find it an interesting alternative to using the Hyper Editor or Ultrabeat - especially because of the real-time randomizing features...

You can download it from this article on The MPV Hub (Online Magazine) here:

Hope you enjoy it & please share the link!

Hi Rounik,

First of all thanks for sharing this free stuff! I have seen lots of free Logic Step Sequencer entries - for instance the old 1999 Sasso's free USS is an example of how the people developed the Logic Step Sequencers in the last century.

I hoped you have developed something better 12 years later - this was the reason I did payed an attention what's going on with the new generation Environment developers...

I'm sorry to say but nothing new, in comparison with the old USS except the randomization which is not hard to cuntruct.
So here are some recommendations for the "New Generation XXI century step sequencers ( these recommendations are absolutely valid cause I have made many working experiments by now). Even that I do not have any interest to release them for the moment so I will try to point some friendly recommendations.

1. The new generation Step Environment sequencers must be SMART as possible. I.e they must support Patterns creation/storing inside the Macro (at least 127 patters) which can be recalled via Program Change# (PC#) or Control Change# (CC#).
2. The Patterns must support internal management so you can Copy/Paste them inside the Macro menu and modify/backup the Patters. All that is 100% possible !
Have a look at my site Environment products. They all support such "smart" storage/management feature for example !
3. Midi Parameters control is welcome too.
4. Cables optimization (keep in mind that a given message can travel thru the Logic Environment up thru 397 cables - I have publish that in some articles) ! What I see in your basic scheme is that you waste the cables to multiply the messages you need (this is absolutely wrong method).

There are much more things which can be programed in the new generation SS machines I guess...

You are a Logic Certified Trainer and you must preach that not me...😉
