Logic Pro Free "Logic Remote" book

Apple released a little iPad app "Logic Remote" along with the new Logic Pro X.

And now, the first book is available for this app. I released it in my popular "Graphically Enhanced Manuals" series. The title is "Logic Remote - How it Works" and the pdf version is available for free on my website for a limited time.
The book is also available as printed book (Amazon) and multi-touch eBook (iBookstore)
All the links are available on my website

Please note that this is not just one of those "quick start guides". It is a comprehensive manual, covering all the features of Logic Remote and even a few related details about the new Logic Pro X.

Enjoy

Hey Edgar,

Thanks so much for this! I'm downloading it now and can't wait to dive in. I love your manuals.

Next step is to buy an iPad instead of mooching my wife's 🙂

Update - your manual looks great (as always).

One thing:
I'm amazed you got Smart Help to work on the iPad. Whenever I try to open Smart Help, I get a message "Unable to download Help Content" and I've never progressed past there.

Any tips for getting the Help to download?

Strange, I never had a problem with that. My guess is that it has to do with the mechanism of the Apple Online Help documentation. It is a course and a blessing. THey can keep it up-to-date by having it online but it requires an internet connection. It seems though that it buffers (downloads) some content localy once you visited it. For example on a Mac when I'm offline I can re-visit some pages but not others.
The amazing thing about the Smat Help in LogicRemote is its speed. Again, I think I remember that there was a message when I used it the first time about downloading. But I couldn't verify it without initializing my iPad.

Maybe Logic Remote tries to download the help contnet but the RAM on your iPad is out of space.
Let me know if that (or something else) is the issue. I constantly update my manuals and any new important info (or findings) I can add to the manual.

Thanks

I have 3.5 GB free space so I'm sure it's something else. When I launch Logic Remote, it says [Downloading Help Content] for 2 seconds, then I get a message that it was unable to download Help Content.

I have reported this to Apple and other users have had the same problem.
