Logic Pro 9 Garage Band to Pro 9

I did a lot of basic composing on Garage Band while on holiday with my iPhone 4s iOS6. I've managed in the end to get them on to my iMac 9.8.2 (Surely it should work over the Cloud like iPhoto).
LAST HURDLE.
How do I import songs from Garage Band to Logic Pro 9? I thought it would be easy. I want to edit them down in a more sophisticated environment. I pull down "import" and it goes to the menu box. I select the song in Garage Band and click Import. But it doesn't- or if it does I can find it. Any ideas///

GarageBand and Logic use the same file format; you should simply be able to select "open" in Logic and open your GB song like any other Logic song.
