Logic Pro 9 Going Loopy!

Hi,

Probably a quick one for all you Logic 9 experts..I'm new to Logic and the forum.

If I drag a apple software loop it to a new track (ie a blank area where there isn't a track yet) FX of the loop do not seem to be carried accross! If I understood the manual correctly adding to a blank chanel strip, loop should keep the original effects? This is not the case. I must be doing something wrong.

if anyone can help me on this I would much appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Is this a green instrument based loop or a blue audio based loop? I believe the green loops are instrument based and should include the relevant instruments and channels strip settings. Folks, correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Blue audio loops just have the apple loop formatted audio and do not include channel strip settings when added to the arrange window.

Hope that helps.

The FX are often there, but bypassed.

Compression and EQ are present and bypassed, so not a problem. However the important effects i.e. delay, modulation and reverb are not. Weird!

Can't figure this one out, looked again at the manual, it must be a preference setting or something?

They were probably set up to be accessed via a bus by way of a send to an aux track. Sorry, I don't have a solution for you though.
