Logic Pro 9 Grouping plugins ???

Hi
Is it possible to make folders for the plugs one uses the most.
It could be done in Logic 5 or 6....can it be done now.

No. The AU spec doesn't allow that. Plugins are automatically grouped by manufacturer.

The closest you could do is make ChannelStrip Presets, but calling up one of those changes ALL insert slots (and on a Software Instrument ChannelStrip, the instrument slot as well).

thats... awful. how do big studios put up with this?

I guess i'll be picky with what vsts i install from my collection.

LOGIC 9.1.2 UPDATE:

-allow the grouping of plugins into user created subfolders
