Logic Pro 9 Headphone Question

Logician
Hello,another basic question I fear.

When monitoring my guitar playing,I can only hear the left side.

I have tried using a Stereo track, but no different.

Probably a simple fix,but I have only had Logic since Thursday,so be gentle with me.

Thanks

Alan

- Do left and right headphones work when listening to iTunes or some other prerecorded Logic project? Is the headphone jack fully inserted? If not, you'll hear only one side.

- Is the track type select set to stereo? Pop up the icon shown in the attachment to select the track type you want.

- What about the rotatory pan setting on the Channel Strip? Centered, positioned to the far left?

We need more information...
Mac model, version of OSX, version of Logic, type of audio interface...

If you're playing an electric (or an acoustic) plugged directly into your interface, it is mono and you need to set your input accordingly. If your input says 1-2 or 3-4, that's stereo and you need to click the circles at the bottom of the channel strip to change it to a single circle.

Thanks for the replies

I think the OO icon at the bottom of the track strip will do the job.

I will try it later, that's 2 people who have said that's the problem.
