Hi there, welcome to the LUG.

Are you running Logic 9.1.x? If so, in 32 bit or 64 bit mode? This will determine whether AUs can be validated, depending on whether they are 32 or 64 bit. Quite possibly you are running Logic in 64 bit mode, in which case it won't be able to validate 32 bit Audio Units. Switch to 32 bit mode in order to validate, after which you can switch back to 64 bit mode.

Kontakt(from Komplete7) is 64 bit AU but Alchemy currently is still 32bit AU (although there is a 64bit beta release candidate available for trial). So if you are running Logic in 64bit mode you will need to look for Alchemy in the 32bit part of the dropdown menu.
