Logic Pro Highlighting Tracks

If I highlight a selection of tracks in Arrange the highlighting is copied to the channels in the Mixer - as you would expect.

If I highlight a selection of channels in the Mixer the highlighting is not copied to the tracks in Arrange.

Can anyone please explain?

It would make it easier to create track stacks from either Mixer or Arrange windows. Not that it's difficult as it is. Just wondered why in case anyone knows.

TIA Jay

Hi Jay,

Thats' a good question (and a good suggestion Atlas). I just experimented with the various link modes available in the Tracks Area. And you are right, the Tracks Area doesn't seem to follow multiple selections made in the Mixer.I think that's just the way it is and we have to learn to live with it.

The ability to select multiple tracks in the Tracks Area is still a very new feature in Logic. In the history of the Logic universe, it's like this feature was just introduced five minutes ago compared to the overall lifespan of Logic. So, maybe it's just not fully implemented yet; or maybe this is the way it will be for a while, or maybe forever. It's hard to know.

It looks like in this Logic millennium, track stacks are destined to be managed from the Tracks Area😀
