Logic Pro 9 How do you folder unfoldered midi tracks?

So ... I recorded a midi keyboard and recorded about 4 or 5 takes on the same track. Unfortunately, I forgot to select the option to put them in a take folder before I hit Record. Right now, those 4 or 5 takes are all laying on top of one another in the track. How to I correct this? How do I get these midi keyboard tracks all into a take folder? Thanks.

How was the Record Preference Set? Hopefully not to "merge"? If they are present as separate regions stacked on each other on the one track, create some new midi tracks, place each region on its own track (make sure to drag only in one direction) select all the tracks, right click and choose "´Pack Take Folder".

Normally I set it to "create take folders". But on this particular occasion, I forgot to select that. So, it was on the default setting when I recorded. The default setting is "Merge only in Cycle record". All the takes are there on the same track as separate regions. In fact, I can sort of shuffle them around within the track, sliding one region to the side to expose the next region (the next take) underneath it.
So, will that still work with the directions you gave me on how to fix this?

If the individual takes are present in separate discrete regions, then you should be able to move them onto adjacent midi tracks as I described.
