I'm getting an MPC1000 and one of these synth keyboards:
M-Audio Venom or an Alesis Micron
And I need to know what kind of cables I need, and how to connect the MPC1000 and the synth to my Avid Mbox Pro 3 audio interface, and then into my Macbook for Logic 9. I believe both of those synths are USB 2.0 powered as well.
I also would like to know if it's possible to use the MPC1000 and a synth to record live in Logic without any latency. Meaning I don't want to record the sounds in the MPC1000 and synth hard drives, and then send them over to Logic; I want to actually record IN Logic with them live, as if they were part of my laptop's keyboard. Is that possible? And if so, how would I go about doing that?
I'm sorry if these are stupid questions, i'm just new to using external instrument sources, as i'm used to just using my laptop to create all the sounds and drums within Logic Pro 9.
Thanks for your help if you can provide it!
