is there any way to stop logic renaming my audio channels when i drag n drop audio files from the audio bin ?
it's very annoying and i don't need that
thanks

Look at the configure track header window. There are several options for track naming. The default is "auto". Change it to something else like "track name" for example, and you will be fine.

yeah i do like that already but names on envroinment windows still remain changed, i usually select all audio track every now and then and multi rename to their original name.
Strange they have added that feature and it looks there are no ways no disable that :/

also my logic control still reads channel name until i write manually a track name, it doesn't care on how i configure track headers

thanks fo rthe reply anyway ;)

Yes, I see what you mean. That is a bit inconsistent

FWIW, I agree that the track naming functionality needs to be cleaned up somewhat. Hopefully in the next upgrade!

PS: I tired playing with the Audio project settings "automatic naming and management of channel strip objects". Didn't seem to make a difference ?|?

to say the least , it' a really annoying bug. "Automatic naming & management
of channel strips" is a joke. Disabling it does nothing
