Logic Pro 9 HUI and Da7 mkII

I have a da7 with os v2.5 and have it setup as an HUI control surface in Logic 9 and some things are working;

I can move a fader with my mouse and the fader of the Da7 moves accordingly.
I can move to different banks and the faders respond.

but

when I move a fader on the Da7 Logic does not respond until it reaches -∞, then the software fader will stay there no matter what.

I have midi in and out hooked up with a m-audio usb uno and the HUI compatible setting loaded up on the Da7.

Is anybody using this mixer for control that could help me out?

UPDATE!

still not working...

I have found that when I turn on "touch fader selects channel" in Logic the corresponding channel will be selected upon any fader movement even though the fader in logic still only moves when i reach the bottom.

This tells me that Logic is seeing movement.

In MIDI Monitor when moving fader 1 up i see:
