Logic Pro 9 I can't get more than 2 inputs when recording

I am trying to record 8 tracks individually and logic is only giving me an option of inputing 2 tracks. How can I correct this problem.

Does your audio interface have 8 physical inputs? Is the correct core audio driver selected in the audio preferences in the Devices tab?
