Logic Pro 9 i/o labels are not saving

I'm new to Logic.

I just spent a half hour setting up my audio i/o labels. I quit, came back to the same project I was working on and my labels are gone. I checked the read/write perms on the pref file and they are good. there is no io IOLabels in ~/Library/Application Support/Logic/

How do i make these settings permanent?

Sorry for the bandwidth, i got it figured out, i think.
now if i could just figure out how to delete a post from this forum. :)
