Logic Pro I want to be able to retain Logic Pro 9 when I update to Logic X

I have been waiting to update from Logic Pro 9 to Logic Pro X, because I have a lot of songs in 32 bits. For I would be able to retain Logic Pro 9 when I update and be sure of it. Can I get a definite answer that if I install Logic Pro X, is Logic Pro 9 left in my computer so that I can use both? Is that possible? I have Mavericks, 10.9.5 and Logic Pro 9, 9.1.8. And iMac 27 from late 2012.

You can use both. I have L8, L9 & LX in my OS.

Even if you get a new computer, when you set up your apple account on it, both versions will show up in your purchases available for install. You can open your L9 sessions in X too, just not your 32 bit 3rd party plug-ins
