Logic Pro 9 Importing .GIG Files into EXS 24

Hi All,

Can anyone confirm this bug, or offer any suggestions: (So far it has been experienced on two different systems with two different libraries involved.)

Try importing a .GIG file into the EXS 24. It returns an error message saying the audio files can't be found. Of course the audio files are contained in the .GIG archive that it is extracting. For some reason EXS24 is not seeing them, or recognizing them. This is on OS 10.5.8 with Logic Pro 9.1.

Any thoughts?

You're right. It fails.

I thought it might be one of the many bugs with Logic 9.1 and OS 10.5.8, but not. It also fails in OS 10.6.2, Logic 9.1.

Report time.

Strange thing is, it creates the proper wave files, and the ***.wve folder for them. But the ***.wve folder is empty, and the samples are dumped into the parent directory. Placing the .wav files in proper folder, in the traditional way, does not help. EXS cannot find them. That's lousy!
