Logic Pro 9 IMPORTING SCREENSETS

Hello Everyone

I am currently utilizing the David Dvorin with Robert Brock "Logic Pro 9 - Advanced Music Production" books for learning Logic Pro 9. After step three of 'Importing Screensets' on page 39 instead of the Import Settings dialog box opening, my MBP displays an error message saying: "02_The Only Light Thats On_Start.logic" can't be opened or imported as a project file. Logic Pro knows this file type, but can't open it as a project file. I've also attached an image of the error message.

I wouldn't like to skip over this in my training without knowing what the problem is. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Could be 1 or 2 things I can think of:

1) the file was created in Logic 7 and added to the tutorial without verification that it would work in LP V9.x. Any Logic 7 files, before 7.2.3 will not open in Logic 9.

2) The file got corrupted, either in manufacture or in the copy to your drive (I'm assuming the file was copied from the DVD that came with the book to a drive). Try and copy it again, maybe it will work.

I managed to establish a suitable work-around. I am assuming it could be either of your two suggestions.
