insert M ONE XL using S/PDIF?

Is this possible? I have a legacy 2882 slaved to a 2D 2882 vis AES, and use Logic 9. How might one configure the routing to accomplish this or is it just not possible using either a channel strip (or input) in the MIO mixer or in the Logic mixer?
