Logic Pro 7 & earlier Inserts wrong key signature

Logic 7.2.3/Mac OS 10.4.11. When inserting a new Key Signature at the beginning of a song, to replace one already there, the wrong one is inserted??
Is this a bug and/or does anyone have a way around it?
