Logic Pro 7 & earlier Installing Logic 7 On a machine that has Logic 9

I need to reinstall Logic 7 on my machine in order to open some very old songs that will only open with this version. As I go to install the installer prohibits me stating 'You have chosen to install this software on a disk that contains a newer version'.

Obviously I don't wish to delete Logic 9 just to open legacy songs. Any help would be much appreciated.

You could try temporarily renaming Logic 9, but make a backup of the drive first.

If you can browse the contents of the Logic 7 install drive (ctrl+click then show package contents?) you could just try dragging the Logic 7 application to your drive.
