Key Command Macros!

I would like have something I would call Key Command Macros-single key stroke macros that run a customizable series of commands currently listed in the key commands window.

Does Automator do this?
Years ago I used Applescript for similar things, now I use the $30 iKey (http://www.scriptsoftware.com/ikey/), which is very capable.

Good ideas, but I want integration with Logic with the simplicity of the current key command system within it.

Yes I need this feature too. Cubase has had it for years already. Logic doesn't even support applescript!
