Logic Pro 9 Keyboard Shortcuts

MR290378

Logician
Hi Guys,

I am new to Logic (worked on PT so far). Could you please let me know where I can find a comprehensive list of keyboard shortcuts in Logic. Via Google I could only find a very basic one.

Two commands I am in particular looking for:

Duplicate region. Is there anything like this in Logic or do I have to first copy and then paste?

How can I disable that the play start marker follows playback (i.e. PT default transport mode)?

Many thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Matt

Just open the key commands page (under the Logic menu/preferences), then use the "find" function to locate the command you want, then look at the key command from there, or you can even assign your own to the specific function.

The duplicate function is called loop in logic land, take a look at "locate" key commands to see if one of them would work for your "play start marker" issue. I can tell you that as far as I know the only way you could accomplish this is to stop Logic and then use a key command to locate to previous stop or start at playhead location.

Try hitting command R to call up the "repeat Region/Events" command. i think that's the default key command. If not, search for it in your key commands window.

The closest thing you can do is to click hold on the Play button in the Transport and choose "Play from last locate position". When you stop play, the play head won't revert back to the start position like in Pro Tools. But when you hit play again, it will jump back at that point and start playback from the previous position.
