Hey i recently bought the Korg microKONTROL....and i was wondering if anyone on here has or has used this midi controller and is willing to talk about it with me. Please put some feedback into the thread.
It does not make sound, it is a versatil MIDI controller.
Logic has a control surface for the KONTROL series built in and it will grab the Microkontrol instantly and turn it into a Logic controller by pushing it into "native mode". This feels fine for the first moment but you will soon discover that you have no more Microkontrol but rather a standard controller. There is a bypass trick, I forgot it. But the whole implementation in Logic is not good.
After you played a while with or without the Logic surface, I recommend to get an additional software: LC Xmu. This turns your Microkontrol more or less into a Logic Control, offers several bypass modes (on the fly) and is not expensive. And you can use it for other controllers and applications too.
