Logic Pro 8 L8 mouseclick doesn't seem to activate window functions

editing on 2 monitors between the Arrange and Score pages, I've noticed that although I may have topped the one, the right-click toolset insists on being that of the other.

And just now ( which prompted me to write this post) I have the score topped but CMD-A selects all regions on the Arrange page, when what I want is to select all meta events in the score.

The only way to workaround is to open the Event list and select ALL there.

Is the panel familiar with this sort of thing, and does L9 do the same?

All too familiar.

Unfortunately yes to that as well. Focus has changed since Logic 7, not IMO for the better. In Logic 9 there is at least a white border helping indicate which window is in focus, but it is hard to get used to coming from older versions of logic

kind regards

:-(

I don't have a problem knowing which screen is topped - after clicking it 10 times! ;-)
In any case, the topped window does change colour in L8.

But the phenomena I described seemed impervious to that.

Restarting L8 solved the problem, so it's a low level bug and hard to reproduce
