L8 & pro film scoring

My only major complaint about L8 is it's lack of DigitalPerformer-like features for film scoring. Considering how often film scores use variations of themes, it's essential to be able to quickly create new cues using elements from previous cues. It's also critical to be able to watch the film with all of the finished cues playing in the timeline.

I know all of the workarounds that Logic users, including myself, have developed over the years. Please don't respond to this thread with L8 tips and tricks. I know them all. When I work with composers using DP I see how quickly they can flip between cues and am keenly aware of how awkward Logic is by comparison.

If L8 made some serious new features for film composers, L8 would dominate the professional market.
