Logic Pro 8 Layering Drums in EXS 24

I'm learning the EXS 24 and I really like it but I'm wondering is there a way to make it so when you hit one pad, 2 pads are triggered, so I can layer drum samples?

Pads what do you mean, are they physical pads or do you just mean two sounds on top of each other like a snare and a handclap so when the you hit ie D1 both are played back.
The latter is very simple, you just place them on the same note in the EXS editor. The first you will have to use a channel splitter to do but I can't see the idea behind that if you are using the EXS anyway.
It could be a good idea to make the EXS instrument a multi-out one so you can treat the layered sounds individually.

Its quite easy to let individual zones{samples} overlap and thus share the same midi note.
