What are the Left Inspector & Right Inspector at the bottom left of logic Pro X [screenshot] meant to be used for?
I just received a Master of one of my songs and I realize I don’t really know how to prep it for YouTube [which is where I post all my songs].
I tend to get what I think is a decent level for the song in Logic Pro X - export the track to iMovie and do my video/photo editing there - and then cross my fingers and upload it to YouTube … hoping that it will sound good there. For the most part, I can’t say this ‘cross-my-fingers’ approach has been a failure. 🙂
I notice with the current Master that the track level is pretty close to 0 in the Left Inspector but significantly lower in the Right Inspector.
The two Level Faders do not control the level in the Left Inspector … but they both raise or lower the level in the Right Inspector.
My current thinking [which may be totally misinformed] is that I can use the two Inspector Faders to get what looks like a good level in the Right Inspector and when I export the song, that is the level that will carry over to iMovie and then, eventually, to YouTube. Is that correct?
Is there a more informed way for me to set the level for my songs once they are Mastered and before I export them out of Logic and on their way to YouTube?
I’d appreciate any help, pointers or links! Thanks in advance.
