Logic Pro 9 Library is coming up empty

unfortunately I am using logic 9 on this laptop I bought on which it was installed, only have logic 8 on disc so reinstall isn't an option

before, I was getting a bunch of instruments in the library, now I only get 3 folders:

Other Options - which contains Midi Click and Input Notes
Reason - an empty folder
Sibelius - also empty

any clue as to how I might get the instruments to appear again without reinstalling?

Does this mean that you have not actually purchased/are a registered owner of a Logic 9 licence?

Before what? Did you make a new user? An OS upgrade, in other words, what was done to make a before and after happen?
