Logic Pro 9 Logi 9.1 with El Capitan

I've seen many a conflicting post on the compatibility of these two - some say "fine", others say... "disaster". Other than Superior 2, I only use stock plugins with my 9.1 Focusrite Clarett 2pre with Thunderbolt, and a 2013 Imac - nothing fancy. Can anyone (please) give me a definitive on this subject?

Used El Capitan for months now and works fine. On Logic pro 9 and want to stick with this version. Got Focusrite Scarlett 18/ 20 on an old mac pro tower. Just been presented with update for Sierra and now wondering what to do. Feel like ' if it aint broke - don't fix it' situation going on again.
