Logic Pro Logic 10.2.2 intermittently recording approx .184 sec late

Has anyone else experienced this? I have been having a very disturbing thing happen - from time to time the computer (6 month old Mac Pro flowerpot running El Capitan) will start recording the audio approximately .184 seconds late. This drives me nuts - I'm used to lots of small workarounds of software issues and weirdnesses, but if I can't trust that the DAW is going to record the audio in the right place, that's a big deal.

I use an A&H GSR-24 mixer with the Firewire card that is also the interface.

Thank you very much for any help you can give.

We had a similar issue but it was intermittent, it did it often but not all of the time. Would drive us nuts as it seemed to record ok from what we could see but then it was all out of whack and we would have to shift the audio region. Anyway we solved the issue by dedicating some of the CPU's on our Mac Pro to the OS. So if your in the preferences area you limit logic to say 4 or 6 or 8 CPU's (8 in our case) and then the rest seem to be used for the OS and background OS. We got that trick off another studio that had a similar issue and it seemed to work for us as well.

Worth a try anyway right?

Thank you very much Gary! I'll give that a shot! All best wishes and thanks again -
