Logic Pro 8 Logic 8 and Snow Leopard

I'm running Logic 8 on Leopard (10.5.8). Everything is running fine. Would there be any benefit in going to Snow Leopard? Eventually I'll go to Logic 9 but just right now. I would like to use the Magic Trakpad though and it does not run on 10.5.8.

Thanks,

Buddy

I never used Logic 8 with Leopard or Snow Leopard so I can't comment on how well it behaves. Something to be said about if it aint broke, don't fix it....

If you do decide to update the OS, do a backup of your system drive first so you can revert if there are any problems......

I'm pretty much in the same boat, running Logic 8 and waiting to upgrade to Logic 9 and Snow Leopard. I reckon Doug is onto a winner: if it aint broke, don't fix it. I have the Snow Leopard disc and am definitely going to wait until my Logic 9 upgrade before I install it.

I have heard of some issues surrounding Logic 8 and Snow Leopard so I'd say better safe than sorry, and if you do go for it definitely make a backup of your system drive.

Coincidentally, I just hooked up a magic trackpad last night. I personally am not enamored with it yet. Some love may come with use. One specific beef is it seems to scroll both directions when I want to just go up. Certainly possible it's lack of technique. I still have my mouse attached for comfort......
