Logic Pro 9 Logic 9.16 - 64 Bit crashes 32 Bit Plugins

Hi George, the problem is that it happens too much. I am mixing 48 tracks from a big show. I also changed the I/O buffer size to 1064, but Logic crashes continuolsly.
Imac 3.06 Ghz Intel Core Duo,8 GB Ram. Any other suggestions ?
Thanks

Yes, pester the developer of the Plugins to release 64 bit versions. It's 2 years since Logic 9.1 was released, there has been more than enough time to deal with this. Which Plugins are in use when the Bridge crashes?

kind regards

Yea, I was going to ask the same. OR can you freeze tracks and work in 32 bit mode? Is there a specific reason your doing this in 64 bit? Most guys who I know that are doing big records will bounce out all their tracks to audio and then mix. Uses way less CPU and allows them allot more power in the end, and less hassles.

That said, yea I agree. at least a full year and we aren't 64 bit or better yet, why not just do a better 32 bit bridge app?

I don't think Apple has an interest in investing additional time and money into the bridge. Why should they? The AU vendors have to get their act together to finally ship 64-bit plugins! 2 Years and counting - come on!

A crash of the bridge doesn't mean the bridge app is at fault. It will also crash if the AudioUnit running under the bridge crashes.
