Logic 9=$49: Is this a legit vendor?

I would have my doubts about it. Logic Pro 9.1.7 was available through the App store, so using an image of the original Logic 9 Studio packet doesn't strike me as being trustworthy. Not to mention the price ....

Logic download is *only* (and has only ever been) available through the apple App Store, you've only ever been able to buy boxed physical versions from 3rd party vendors. There are no new boxed versions being distributed by apple, so it would be "old stock" (although they did distribute logic 9/studio and express, versions boxed and there may be some still about) in short this screams WAREZ at me!

iOffer allows people to sell illegal and pirated wares on their site. I know this for a fact as I contacted them once about someone on their site selling a training video of mine - actually, they were including it with an illegal copy of Logic 8 they were selling - how nice of them!

You will not have a legal copy if you purchase this. Please try to be legal and get this from a legitimate source.

Edit - I see it was daveyboy as the OP and just commenting on the price, not purchasing.

Thanks Doug. I barely looked at the site. I was looking on behalf of a friend who I've been trying to coax into getting Logic . I've been a (legal) Logic owner for 8 years! I feel like $200 is a steal but my friend is rocking an ancient G5 so I was thinking getting an old boxed version of 9 might work. Not sure about that and at this point I don't care. He needs to "tech up" and get something newer ;-)

Hey Dave,

Funny thing is I ran across that site just a few days ago looking for prices for a friend. FYI, the best (legal) price is Apple's site for anyone buying Logic for the first time. If someone can upgrade, there are some great buys out there for the studio disk set (new and legal).
