Logic Pro 9 Logic 9 and Kontakt 3 Steven Slate Drums

Hey! I'm new to Logic, Kontakt 3 and Steven Slate drums. I have a midi kick drum programmed in a logic project. My goal is to assign a Steven Slate kick sample to that track. But Kontakt is not showing up in the list when I go to my kick drum tracks IO to choose it. What have I done wrong?

First, you DID install the AU version of Kontakt 4, right?

So, if you did, you should be able to boot up Logic and see it in the AU manager... can you?

If yes, is the box beside the name checked... if not, check it

If you don't see it, you haven't installed it correctly, try again.

So, if you did install it, and the box is checked, the next question is: you are using an instrument track, not an audio track or an external midi track, right?

So, answer these questions and maybe we can help you get going,

The other issue to be aware of is AU validating and running Logic 9.1.x in 32 or 64 bit Mode.

More about that in Logic 9 FAQ 10

kind regards

Got it!

Hey guys! Thanks so much for the responses. I changed from 64 bit back to 32 bit and logic immediately recognized kontakt! That was the issue! Thanks so much you guys are the best. You have no idea how much I appreciate your help!

Actually, there are 64 bit versions of Kontakt, Massive, and Battery, Massive and Battery being both beta versions (but very stable here, in fact I have never had either crash my system since 64 bit versions).
