Logic Pro 9 Logic 9 and Spaces

I can move normal Logic windows to other Spaces. (Logic 9.1.5 / OS 10.6.8)
Plugin windows are floating windows though, and they are not visible when you open Spaces.
However, I find that any open plugin windows seem to appear in whatever Space I choose, ie they are visible no matter what Space is selected.

I'm not doing anything unusual.
I have Spaces assigned to the default F8 key. I open Spaces and simply drag a window eg the Environment or Arrange from one space to another (in the "mini" windows). Then I go back to normal and the Logic windows are wherever I left them. The plugin windows seem to be in several spaces sometimes, but not always. Seems to be somewhat inconsistent.

I fully agree with Mark. Screensets are so powerful and fast that Spaces are kind of redundant in Logic.

Colin, thanks, I think I have it working. Yes, there is probably no clear advantage of spaces over screensets. I suppose there is no way to remove the "floating" status of plugin windows? My original intent was to put them all in one space out of the way.
As an aside, my use of Logic has generally been to organize songs from composers that use GB to do a scratch track. I usually port it to another DAW for mixing, so I don't know many of the features. I'm using the current project to learn Logic better (and found Groove3 a very good way to do it). In the past I found setting up screensets a bit convoluted, so generally avoided it. I'll have another shot at it.

Using screensets does require a slight adjustment in thinking as to how you approach working with a DAW, but as Colin mentioned, they are a very powerful feature of Logic. If you integrate them into your workflow, you may find yourself wondering how it used to be working without them. They have, to an extent, been given less emphasis since Logic 8 introduced the "arrange with drawers" features, but they are IMO still as useful as ever.

That's exactly the kind of thing to do with screensets.
Choose an unused screenset or make a copy of an existing one. You might have an Environment window open for example to be able to see all your channels. Open the plugin windows and name the screenset "Plugins".
Remember your basic screensets can be selected by hitting 1 to 9. You can also get lots more by holding control and typing two numbers eg 11, 12, 13 etc.
My default template has over 40 different screensets for various tasks, eg Arrange + Environment, Score plus Event list, Arrange (small) plus Score, Arrange plus Piano roll, etc etc etc. You'll get used to just hitting a number to access an arrangement of windows for mixing, for editing samples, for tweaking plugins and so on.
