Logic Pro 9 Logic 9 and Transcribe!

I haven't used transcribe recently, but from what I remember it's very good. Logic probably can do a lot of the same things, but not as directly and not in a way that is directly helpful to transcribing.

Looks like an interesting app.

I've been using Melodyne to help generate scores from multitrack audio.

Some of the tracks are sampled based or were improvised.
Melodyne does a decent job of generating midi based on the audio.
May have to some editing, and effects can cause some glitching, otherwise it works fine as a plug in Logic.

Anyone any experience of Transcribe!, please?

Can't Logic Pro do everything that Transcribe! can?
I've been using Transcibe! teaching songs to my Guitar students for many years. I can quickly give them a CD of the song (or portion of) slowed down and/or retuned. I could do this also with Logic, but that would be like owning a Porsche just to go the corner shop on sundays!

I recommend Transcribe!.

I use transcribe all the time. I'm also a pretty accomplished Logic user. For what transcribe does, it does very well. The interface is simple and straightforward, it's relatively easy to dive right in and begin using it and it's inexpensive. Very little in the way of a learning curve but a pretty powerful app. There's a couple of interface issues - i.e., things that should be shortcut key enabled but aren't - that will make you second guess the app, but overall it's a good deal for the money.

Just my $.02 worth...
