Logic Pro Logic adding invisible MIDI events

I created a short MIDI sequence using EZdrummer2 plugin and opened it in the piano roll. In one or two places I noticed Logic was adding additional MIDI hits which were invisible in the piano roll and didn't show up in the events list.

I exported the sequence as a mid. file and imported into Reaper where I could then see the extra MIDI events. I edited out the notes and saved it. Upon re-importing to Logic, the invisible notes are still there! Can anyone explain?

Do you have a midi controller connected?

I have a MIDI foot controller connected to my Axe-FX (which is acting as my audio interface but only being used for guitar (audio) not software instruments).
