Hi, hoping someone could assist with getting midi and audio files off my old powermac running logic audio 2.5 into my new macbook pro running logic pro 8
aware i have to normalize/merge and prepare midi trax first but seems to be some confusion out there whether format 0 or 1 for they are multi track projects. and then the audio trax? whew.
any direction would be helpful thanks

If you have Logic 7 (or know somebody who does) you should be able to just open the Logic Audio songs directly. Once you save in Logic 7, logic 8 will then pen them.

This could save a bit of hassle saving MIDI files and or trying to realign audio regions

If you can't get Logic 7, with audio I find the best thing is to merge all regions on each track into one audiofile starting at bar 1. Then add the audiofiles to your new L8 project and they will all play in the right place.

Otherwise it can be a hassle getting all the regions in the right places.

Be careful not to merge mono with stereo audiofiles.
