Logic Pro 9 Logic Crashes when moving audio region

[pergola]

Hi,

this is driving me mad. Everytime i try to move an audio region, logic crashes and saves a "project X.crashed".

I ve tried removing prefs, repairing permissions, verifying HD, disabling audio driver and plugins....

Nothing will do.

I ve tried converting all audio files thinking they ve been corrupted?

I have the same problem sometimes. The thing I noticed is that it happens after I edit a audio region and change the pitch or some other type of audio edit. once I do that I start getting that problem. it seems like logic is corrupting the audio file. Bot sure if this is what is really happening but hopefully someone here has a real fix

Have you ran the current Pro App Support update? It looks like that might have something to do with it. It is not a 3d party plug-in.

thank you for you answers but it seems like all my system is uptodate.

This thing is driving me mad!

The only way i figured out finishing my project was to export it as OMF including audio and reopen it in a new arrangement.

I am experiencing the same problem now with another project!

I agree with you joji, the previous project had some audio tuned edited so maybe logic corrupted them...but i dont remember editing the tune in audiofile on the new project....

Anybody experiencing the same? I need my studio to be working!

the crash occures when moving audio region only, wouldn't other problems happen if the ram was bad?

I've had exactly the same issue. Can find no explanation, have no ram problems, am on all latest updates, and have experienced it in fresh projects as well. Thankfully it's gone away for now...

Found out the reason:

Moving any audio or midi part will make logic crash if---->time and pitch Machine has been applied to an audio part!!!!

Doing this corrupts something in the session.

Drives me mad!
