Can I use Logic's plugin's in real time?

I currently use Guitar into M-Audio Profire 610 Interface -into Sonar - into PSP 608 Multiecho plugin - Waves GTR3.5 - Compressor.

Can I use this chain in Logic,and use Logic's plugin Echo and Compressor in real time while monitoring my playing through phones?

Yes you can. There are 2 ways you can do this:

1) Use the inserts on the record track you are using to add the FX you want to hear while recording. These will only be used while monitoring and not be recorded.

2) Make a new input track in the environment, set it to the inputs you use in your audio interface (say input 1 where your guitar is coming into your system), and then repeat the exact same process of adding the FX you want into the inserts. This will result in the FX being recorded WITH your track permanently.

Hope this makes sense... some people have no real idea abut recording technique and don't understand what a buss or aux or insert are...

Hi Atlas

Well you certainly managed to tease me.

I am looking forward to the Echo and Amp designer,I love the early Vox AC30 Simulations in other programmes,but I am told that the Logic emulation is excellent,as it their Multi Tap echo.
