Logic Pro 9 Logic Pro 9 + Addictive Drums: still ain't working

Hi forum,
I'd run AD juuuust fine on Garageband, as everybody seems to be saying on forums. And now I want to switch to Logic, friends tell me it's "better"...but with whatever manoeuvrings, I just - can't - get it to WORK !!

I've tried the 32-Bit 64-Bit, nothing...and by the way, is it normal my Mac runs Logic on 32-Bit by default ? The 32-bit square was checked when I came to try the 32-64 solution...

I've tried the "AU component for Addictive Drums was only installed on HD/library/audio/plugins/compnents and not on HD/Users/(home)/library/audio/plugins/compnents.".
Didn't work.

It just WON'T show there...I AM supposed to look in the "Plug-in" area right ? Where I can go down at the bottom and find "Audio Units" with all the stuff like Guitar Rig and co. ?

Many thanks. This has been keeping me from starting to record my EP for WEEKS. I'd LOVE to just get over the hump and start WORKING !

Make sure you are adding an instrument track, and then make sure you are instantiating fromt he popup box above the "Stereo Out" box. That is the correct one for instruments. Sounds like you are trying to add it from an insert..

oh wow wait, yeh, I tried following what you said and managed to find it !
Somehow with the Library window open on the right, I managed to change "Drum Kit" into "Addictive Drums"...a bit strange...

Thanks, you reaaaaaaaaally made this so much better for me !!

yeh I know it sounds like suuuch a noob thing to you, but man Logic really could be more simple to use, ffs !!...
Coming straight out of years of Garageband, say what you want about it but it is simple, straight-to-the-point.

It almost seems like Logic is making it harder on purpose for us just to make it look like a true "pro" software ! 😀
