Logic Pro Logic Pro X / Mainstage with automation / PC's or CC's

Hello lovely people,

First of all, I am a new member so I hope you can help me futher.

What I'd like to accomplish:
I use Mainstage 3 for live and within Mainstage 3 I've got an backing track (which I have created in Logic Pro X). I would like to automate when a song goes from verse to chorus that Mainstage 3 automatically goes from patch verse to chorus.

I read some stuff about Logic Pro PC and CC. First of all I can't find those options in Logic Pro X:

Second is, I don't know how to intergrate a midi file within Mainstage. Searched on the internet but was not able to find the right answer.

Other possible solution: I can also make a sort of timeline (for example the chorus of a song starts at 1:45) maybe I can write something that the program change in Mainstage 3 changes at the exact time of 1:45 to patch chorus?

I hope you can help me further with this (for me) pretty difficult task. 😀

You can use Logic and Mainstage together via IAC (you have to enable it in the Mac AMS beforehand).
For example the Audio Files and Midi files can be loaded in Logic. Insert an External Instrument plugin into a Software Instrument in Logic and set the External Instrument plugin MIDI Out port to IAC bus. Draw MIDI regions (Program Change or CC messages) onto the External Instrument track to automate MS. MS should receive MIDI via the IAC Input.
